ความเป็นมาของวันตรุษจีนมีมาอย่างนี้นะคะ        Chinese New Year or Spring Festival is the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays. วันตรุษจีนถือว่าเป็นเทศกาลในช่วงฤดูใบไม้ผลิ และเป็นเทศกาลพื้นเมืองของคนจีน        It is often called the Lunar New Year, especially by people in mainland China and Taiwan. บ่อยครั้งที่จะเรียกอีกชื่อหนึ่งว่า Lunar Year ปีแห่งจันทรคติที่เรียกโดยชาวจีนแผ่นดินใหญ่ และไต้หวัน         The festival traditionally begins on the first day of the first lunar month (Chinese: 正月; pinyin: zhēng yuè) in the Chinese calendar and ends on the 15th; this day is called Lantern Festival. เทศกาลนี้ตามประเพณีจะนับจากวันที่ 1 ของเดือนตามจันทรคติ ในปฎิทินจีน และสิ้นสุดวันที่ 15 ซึ่งเป็นวันที่ถือว่าเป็นวัน Lantern day Chinese New Year's Eve is known as Chúxī. It literally means "Year-pass Eve". วันตรุษจีนถือเราจะเรียกเป็นภาษาจีนว่า Chixi หมายถึง "ก่อนวันสิ้นปี"        Celebrated in areas with large populations of ethnic Chinese, Chinese New Year is considered a major holiday for the Chinese and has had influence on the new year celebrations of its geographic neighbours, as well as cultures with whom the Chinese have had extensive interaction.  ตรุษจีนจะได้รับการฉลองจากตยเชื้อสายจีน ซึ่งวันหยุดจีนนี้ถือว่าส่งผลต่อบ้านใกล้เรือนเคียงของจีน รวมทั้งวัฒนธรรมของประเทศที่จีนมีสัมพันธไมตรีด้วย         These include Koreans, Mongolians, Nepalese, Bhutanese, Vietnamese, and formerly the Japanese before 1873. In Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and other countries or regions with significant Han Chinese populations, Chinese New Year is also celebrated, and has, to varying degrees, become part of the traditional culture of these countries.  ประเทศดังกล่าวได้แก่  เกาหลี (Rain จะฉลองตรุษจีนอยู่มั้ยเนี่ย)  มองโกเลีย  เนปาล  เวียดนาม  ญี่ปุ่น (ในช่วงก่อนปี 1873)  จีน แผ่นดินใหญ่  ฮ่องกง มาเก๊า ไต้หวัน  สิงคโปร์ อินโดนิเซีย  มาเลเซีย และฟิลิปินส์ รวมถึงไทยด้วยนะคะ        In Canada, although Chinese New Year is not an official holiday, many ethnic Chinese hold large celebrations and Canada Post issues New Year's themed stamps in domestic and international rates. ขนาดฝรั่ง แคนาดา ยังมีตรุษจีนแลยค่ะ แม้ว่าจะไม่ได้เป็นวันหยุดราชการ (an official holiday) แต่คนเชื่อสายจีนในแตนาดาก็จะมีการฉลองกัน และออกแสตมป์ ที่วางขาทั้งในประเทศเขา และออกวางจำหน่ายทั่วโลกด้วยค่ะ
